We are sad to announce that on September 8, 2023, at the age of 89, Curtis David Filyaw (Scranton, South Carolina), born in Cades, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Matthew Filyaw and Ruby Conyers Filyaw; his stepsons, Ronnie Melton, Bobby "Fuzzy" Melton and Kenneth Melton; his siblings, Wilbur Filyaw, Wesley Filyaw, Delos Filyaw and Celesta Mims McCutcheon; and his stepsons-in-law, Rob Coker and Vince Coker.
He is survived by: his wife Emaline Melton Filyaw of Lake City; his stepchildren, Pete Melton (Valerie) of Scranton, Shirley DeHay of Lake City, Judi Coker of Lake City and Shannon Coker of Cades; his brother John Filyaw of Savannah; and his granddaughter Savannah Flowers (Michael) of Lake City. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
