He was predeceased by: his parents, James David Rhodes and Ruby Hanna Rhodes; and his brothers, James David Rhodes, Jr. and Samuel William Rhodes, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Janice Stanley Rhodes; his children, Martha M. Rhodes of Darlington, Charles R. Rhodes Jr. (Le Dena) of Conway, R. Elizabeth Szymanski (Scot) of Greenville and Gary E. Rhodes (Kim) of Florence; his stepchildren, Allen Sims (Trina) of Lake City, Scotty Sims of Coward and Stacey Floyd (Billy) of Scranton; and his siblings, Louise Charpia of Greenville, Howard Rhodes (Buena) of Columbia and Mona Boyd of Kingstree. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 6 great step-grandchildren.
