He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Lonnie Grimsley and Bertie Wilkes Grimsley; his son Douglas Kevin Grimsley; his siblings, Dorothy Agnes Grimsley Turner, Hubert Lenwood Grimsley and Donald Clark Grimsley; and his sons-in-law, Reverend Robert Levon Broach and Jerry Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Effie Rauch Grimsley of Scranton; his daughters, Judy Broach of Holly Hill and Dianne Varnadoe (Wayne) of Manning; his daughter-in-law Sherry Floyd Grimsley; his grandchildren, Kirk Broach (Eunice), Kimberly Dover (Brian), Justin Evans and Doug Grimsley; his great grandchildren, McKenna Dover, Micah Dover, Ethan Evans, Austin Evans, Trace Grimsley and Caulder Broach; and his siblings, Margaret Grimsley Strickland, Lazette Grimsley Morris and Paul Grimsley.
