It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Berline Hicks (Scranton, South Carolina), born in Marion, South Carolina, who passed away on December 23, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel P. Hicks; her parents, Daniel Herring and Ruby Carter Herring; and her siblings, Mary Kate Springs, Legrand Herring, Gwen Daniels, Daniel "Shorty" Herring, Velma Brown and Claudia Yarborough.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara, Ricky Eddie Hicks (Cindy) of St. Petersburg and Kathy Barrineau (Robin) of Lake City; her grandchildren, Kim Coker (Eric), Raven Player, Daniel Barrineau (English) and Derek Barrineau (Heather); her great grandchildren, Joshua Coker, Jacob Coker, Olivia Player, Chandler Player, Landen Barrineau, Emily Pope and Lexi Barrineau; her sister Vera Hicks (Tommy) of Marion; and her friend Martha Lee Bell of Johnsonville.
