He was predeceased by: his parents, Cordie Spurgon Poston and Maybell McKissick Poston; his wife Geraldine Hutchinson Poston; and his siblings, Elsie Mae Campbell, Addrell Poston, Teal Ward, Mavin McKissick, Carnell Matthews, Virgie Lee McCutcheon, Johnnie Poston and Betty Jo Poston.
He is survived by: his sons, Reggie Poston (Gaye) of Effingham and Greg Poston (Jennifer) of Pamplico; his grandchildren, Amanda Baxley (Davey) of Georgetown, Karyn Poston of Florence, Matthew Poston of Pamplico and Katie Poston of Columbia; and his great grandchildren, Mallory Baxley, Kylie Baxley and Caysen Baxley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
