He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew James Burroughs and Effie Benton Burroughs of Virginia; his siblings, Glenn Benton, Dwaine Burroughs, Azalee Burroughs Tunstall and Violet Burroughs Hanna; his stepfather Oliver Gaines; his father-in-law Harold Yarborough; his stepfather-in-law Calvin (Wilson); and his sister-in-law Lynn Coward.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Yarborough Burroughs of Scranton; his son Drew Burroughs of Scranton; his sister Bonnie Lee (Tex) of Scranton; his mother-in-law Eloise Yarborough Wilson of Florence; his siblings-in-law, Nadine Burroughs of Timmonsville, Shirleen Cook (Jimmy) of Darlington, Kathy Welch (Casey) of New Zion and Garry Coward of Conway; and his cousins, Judy Parnell Welch of Turbeville and Robert Parnell of Kingstree. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
