Alton Anderson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alton Anderson (Scranton, South Carolina), who passed away on March 10, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, David Lamb Anderson and Gladys Floyd Anderson; and his siblings, Etheline McGee, Curtis "Dagger" Anderson and David "Bug" Anderson.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Chandler Anderson of Lake City; his daughter Lisa Altman (Bob) of Lake City; his grandson Travis Carter (Jessy) of Camden; his siblings, Madine Anderson Beard of Kingstree, Emaline Melton of Lake City and H. L. Anderson of Turbeville; and his pets, Snicker and Prissy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and special friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Olanta Pentecostal Holiness Church. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
