She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Olin Hedden and Beatrice Maybelle Hedden; her former husband Charles William Murphy; her daughter Debra Joyce Peebles (Brad); and her siblings, Buford Hedden, Alvin Hedden, Rachel Hedden, Betty Hamilton and Gene Hedden.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Gerald Forbes Murphy; her daughters, Crystal Lynn Timms (Jimmy) and Sonya Marie Ledet (Bruce); her son-in-law John Bradford Peebles; her grandchildren, Crystal Teryna Cox (Trevor), John Bradford Peebles Jr. (Kelly), Jacqueline Joyce Granger (Chris), William Kenan Ledet (Donella) and Abagail Marie Ledet; and her great grandchildren, Jae Cox (Caroline), Katie Cox, Lucy Peebles, Liam Granger, Brady Peebles and Ellie Granger. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
