It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Smith Jr. of Saluda, South Carolina, who passed away on September 12, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter, Sr. Smith and Ina Glover Smith; and his siblings, Lannie Jackson, Johnny Bell Smith, Catherine Sandlin, Edna M. Smith, Brenda D. Smith, Joe Smith and Willie Smith.

He is survived by: his siblings, Mamie Lott and Sammie Smith of Saluda, SC; his sister-in-law Regina Smith of Saluda, SC; and his sister Carol Smith.
