He was predeceased by: his parents, Smith Coleman, Sr. and Donnie Blocker Coleman; and his siblings, Johnny Coleman, Eliza Mae Etheredge, Nancy Howard, Bertha Bruno, Gladys Coleman, Martha Ann Perry, Nora Bell Cyrus, Chester Bell Garvin and Ruby Lee Coleman.
He is survived by: his children, Charles of Saluda, SC, Willie James Lee Coleman (Minnie) of Saluda, SC, Sherman Coleman of Saluda, SC, Robert Coleman of Saluda, SC, Annie Ruth Mitchell (Virgil) of Saluda, SC, Lisa Tolbert (Gregory) of Greenwood, SC and Stacie Coleman of Batesburg, SC; and his siblings-in-law, Pauline Stevenson of Waterbury, CT and Scencer Padgett of Waterbury, CT. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren, forty-seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
