He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold R. Kirkland and Arietta Carroll Burke; his wife Susan; his daughters, Kristie Jones (Mark), Jennifer Cockrell (Chris) and Stephanie Harmon (Dennis); his grandsons, Jordan Cockrell, Canaan Cockrell, Cameron Jones, Benjamin Cockrell and Cole Harmon; his stepgrandson Dustin Harmon; and his siblings, Brenda Koon, Dean Kirkland (Gloria), Keith Kirkland (Jo Lynn) and Clark Kirkland.
