She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Johnny B. Bowman and Essie L. Holmes Bowman. She is survived by: her husband Roscoe Peterson; her children, Shirley P. Porter, Ernestine P. Parks, Alfonzo Peterson (Barbara), Brenda P. Robinson, Willette Peterson, Doris P. Gordon, Francine Gordon (Keith), Rev. Johnny Peterson (Shirley) and Angela P Garrett (Robert); her sisters, DC of Washington and Gussie of Edgefield, SC; her sister-in-law, DC of Washington; her goddaughters, Essie Price and Della Anderson; and her friend Clara Griffin. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren.
