It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene Joy Moxley McCarthy (Saluda, South Carolina), born in Ward, South Carolina, who passed away on July 29, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mabel Moxley and Truman Moxley; her sister Mavis Moxley; her husband David Seymour McCarthy; her daughter Deborah; her son-in-law William Emery of Ellijay, Georgia; her daughters, Denise Kea of Charlotte and Joy; her son-in-law Scott Carpenter of Monroe; her grandchildren, Brooke Arroliga (Juan Carlos) of Lula, Georgia, Ryan Bonnette (Gabrielle) of Murrayville, Georgia, Lauren Carpenter (Maurice Crowe) of Charlotte and Ryan Carpenter of Charlotte; her great grandchildren, Mercy, Harmony, Eula and Ivah Bonnette; and her grandchildren, Anaiah and Aliyah Arroliga. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
