He was predeceased by: his parents, Renise Coleman and Sophia Helen Coleman; and also Willie Mae Webb Coleman. He is survived by: his wife Fairy A. Coleman of Johnston, SC; his daughters, Lena Coleman of Saluda, SC and Robin Coleman of Saluda, SC; his stepchildren, Michael Herbert (Medrai) of Simpsonville, SC, Ben Herbert of Johnston, SC, Tim Holt of Saluda, SC and Angela Gilliam (Ronnie) of Simpsonville, SC; and his brothers, Sylvester Coleman of Augusta, GA and Ted Coleman of Rock Hill, SC. He is also survived by four grandchildren, four great grandchildren; in-laws; nieces, nephews, other relative and sorrowing friends.
