It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gayle Pardue Werts of Saluda, South Carolina, born in Aiken, South Carolina, who passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Middleton Pardue and Eleanor Grace Reid Pardue. She is survived by: her spouse Francis Malcolm Werts; her children, Joe Werts (Lori) of Ninety-Six, Kathy Bradley (Mark) of Kingwood, TX and Beth Richey (Daniel) of McCormick; her grandchildren, Haleigh Freeman, Michala Bradley, Douglas Bradley, Nolan Richey and Drayton Richey; and her pet Sissy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, 101 N. Calhoun Street, Saluda, SC 29138 or Hospice and Palliative Care of The Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
