With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Edward Player of Saluda, South Carolina, who passed away on December 4, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edward Player and Eliza Mozelle Cumbee Player; his daughter Marie Player; his stepson Rick Yarborough; and his siblings, Bonnie Hendrick, Guyton Player, Phyllis Glines, Eva Mae Thweatt, Hattie Powell, Aileen Newkirk and Georgette Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Lucille Robertson Player; his sons, Danny Player (Kym McLaughlin) of Summerville and Sam Player (Thereis) of Mt. Pleasant; and his stepdaughter Vonnie Y. Leaphart of Batesburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Richland Springs Baptist Church of Saluda.
