He is survived by: his wife Leora Dobbs McCarty; his children, Charles A. McCarty, Jr. (Bobbie) of Columbia, SC, Msiba Robinson (Kareem) of Melbourne, FLA and Sisi Irvin (Larry) of Columbia, SC; his brother Henry McCarty of Saluda, SC; and his children, Akilah Shani of Columbia, SC, Michael Glover of Columbia, SC and Maisha Kitwana of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by one brother-in-law and seven sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
