He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabriel Dais and Lula McBride Dais; his wife Margaret M. Dais; his children, Herman Dais and Annie B. Nesmith; his grandchildren, Michael Tisdale, Kevin Hedgeman, Johnathan Cooper and Melana Lee; and his great great grandchild DeVonte Tisdale.
He is survived by: his children, Lula Mae Smith (AC) of Baltimore, MD, Margie Lee of Kingstree, SC, Christine Swinton of Coward, SC, Nancy Mae Choice (Ernest), Loretta Hedgeman (Earl) of Washington, DC, Loretha of Lake City, SC, Moses Dais of Turbeville, SC, Abraham Dais of Salters, SC, Jackie Dais of Salters, SC, Albert Scott (Michelle) of Garner, NC and Curtis Fluitt of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren; 82 great grandchildren; 21 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
