It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Wilson of Salters, South Carolina, who passed away on July 28, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rubin Smith and Minnie; his grandson John (Luren Wilson); and his daughter Janice Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Bennett; his children, Mammie Brockington, Edward Wilson (Jonica), Lashell Wilson, Lashern Jacobs (Emmitt), Teresa Stancil and Grace Wilson; and his siblings, Johnathen Chisolm (Sara), Bassie Chisolm (Johnnie Mae) and Willie Chisolm (Rachel Lee). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
