He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Early Player and Sarah Elizabeth McConnell Player; his son Leonard Charles Player; his brothers, Dan, Leonard and Perry Player; his sisters-in-law, Victoria and Jane Player; his sisters, Lelia Robinson, Joann Howard and Orene Player; and his brothers-in-law, Heyward Howard and Tony Strickland.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Johnson Player; his children, Laurie Campbell (Tim) of St Stephen, Pam Overton (Seth) of Salters, Shannon Caison (John) of Moncks Corner, Larry Player (Tricia) of Moncks Corner and Shane Green (Michelle) of Summerville; his siblings, Ronald Player (Nancy) of Russellville and Christine Strickland (Tony) of Goose Creek; and his brother-in-law Karl Robinson. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
