It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William D. Young (Salley, South Carolina), who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact William had on those he encountered along his journey. Though William may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dana Young and Catherine "Kay" Terry Young; his son William McNeil "Little Bill" Young; his siblings, Martha Jeffrey, Terry Young and Garry Young; and his brother-in-law Lane Kirkland (Ken Boles).
He is survived by: his wife Judy Whetstone Boles Young; and his sister-in-law Deb Young. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dee's honor to Clinton United Methodist Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Epworth Children's Home.
