He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Ruth Haltiwanger Derrick and William Edward Derrick; and his siblings, Mary D. Henry, Charles Derrick, David Derrick and Richard "Dick" Derrick. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and friends.
