He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Whetstone and Sara Mae Cooper Whetstone; his spouse Almeta Poole Whetstone; his brother Levon Whetstone (Doris); and his brother-in-law Jimmy Bolen.
He is survived by: his children, Sammy Whetstone (June) and Dottie Whetstone Hutto; his grandchildren, Dean Whetstone (Angela), Kyle Whetstone (Brandy), Samantha Jo Hutto Rogers (Andy) and Shane Hutto; his great grandchildren, Layla Whetstone, Sam Whetstone, Cadence Whetstone, Connor Whetstone and Kolton Rogers; his sister Paulette Bolen; and his cousin Joyce Barrier.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Clinton United Methodist Church (333 Hollow Creek Rd, Salley, SC 29137).
