She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert and Dortha Richman Johnson; her husband George Walter Swearingen, Jr.; her daughter Cindy Lee Swearingen; and her stepson John "Tommy" Swearingen.
She is survived by: her children, William Swearingen (Rebecca) of North, Toni Swearingen Dannelly Smith of Orangeburg and Crickett Swearingen of North; her stepsons, Jimmy Swearingen (Peggy) of Blair, George "Bubba" Swearingen III (Carol) of Hopkins and S. C.; and her brothers, Rev. James E. Johnson of Philipps, Michael "Tim" Johnson of Moatsville and Daniel B. Johnson of Moatsville. She is also survived by 28 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and one niece.
