He was predeceased by: his parents, Coley Langford Smith and Geneva Gladden Smith; his wife Shirley Karwoski Smith; and his siblings, Betty Kemmerlin and Tommy Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debby Smith Lucas (Tony), Frances Smith Butler (Todd), Sandra Smith and Bobbie Ann Yon (Kenneth). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
