We are sad to announce that on November 4, 2021 we had to say goodbye to William Cruickshank DeFries of Salem, South Carolina, born in San Francisco, California. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William A. DeFries and Cecilia Cruickshank DeFries; and his brother David "Fritz" DeFries. He is survived by: his children, Carrie Marquez (Michael), Melissa Seal (Michael) and William B. DeFries (Daniela); his grandchildren, Jackson Marquez, Kate Marquez, Bennett Marquez, Blair Seal and Elin Seal; and his siblings, Celia DeFries (Eric) and Richard DeFries (Kristi).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Bill's memory to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
