It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Russell Max Landis of Salem, South Carolina, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 8, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Landis and Edna Landis; and his brother Kevin. He is survived by: his wife Lynn; his daughter Julie Capane (Donald); his stepchildren, Christopher Heilman (Sarah), Elizabeth Greenwald (Jeffrey) and Gregory Heilman; his grandchildren, Emily Landis-Dunham, Aiden, Madison Greenwald, Evelyn, Asher, Joshua, Matthew Heilman, Joseph and Salvatore Capane (Caitlyn); his sister-in-law Mary; and his parents-in-law, Howard and Doris Bower.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be scheduled later in the year.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to the American Heart Association by visiting heart.org.
