He is survived by: his wife Darla Wendschuh Cady of Salem; his children, Kurt Cady (Rachael) and Alyssa Cady Dey (Brad); his brother Jim Peterson (Diane); his siblings-in-law, Dean Wendschuh (Doris) and Gayle Waibel (Mike); and his grandchildren, Maddox Cady, Ashton Cady, Corvan Dey and Rennika Dey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SHINE, an organization that exists to Serve, Heal, Inspire, Nurture and Empower vulnerable youth who are aging out, or have aged out, of foster care.
