She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucius B. Smith and Eullah Medford Smith; her daughter Deborah Griffin; and her siblings, Medford Smith, Virginia Rogers and Betty Ann McGill.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Gibson of Salem, SC; and her children, Monte Gibson (Janet) of Salem, Sunnie Wills (Bobby) of Six Mile and Cyndi Thomas (Phillip) of Florida. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
