He was predeceased by: his parents, Denzil Freeman and Weltha Freeman; his son Dwayne; his granddaughter Deanna; and his brothers, Edwin, Daymen and Arnol.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Mae Griffin Freeman; and his children, Douglas Freeman of Kilmarnock, Darrell Freeman (Traci) of Cocoa and Dawn Thompsen (Craig) of Kilmarnock, Virginia.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
