It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Harley White (Salem, South Carolina), born in Cashiers, North Carolina, who passed away on September 6, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lila Wilson White; his parents, Grimshaw White and Pauline White; his daughter Carol Gilliam; and his grandchildren, Maria Black and Danny Grant.

He is survived by: his son Steve White (Shelia) of Stanley, NC; his stepson Joe Grant (Tonya) of Iron Station, NC; his siblings, Kenneth White of Liberty, SC, Joyce Wilson Reese of Salem, SC and Janice Alexander of Salem, SC; his grandchildren, Brandon White and Beth Gilliam; his stepgrandchild Crissy Grant; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, April, Autumn Grant, Alexis Grant, Mary Whitworth, Joseph Whitworth and Timothy Whitworth.
