She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Smith and Lecy Ellenburg Smith; her husbands, Doyle Rogers and Maurice Edwards Carter; and her siblings, Bill, Lloyd, Roy, Frances, Edna, Dorothy and Ruby.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Hopkins (Marty) of Walhalla, Lynne Martin (Eddie) of Tamassee, Scott Rogers (Teresa) of Salem and Sherry Moore of Walhalla; her stepsons, Steve Carter (Christy) of Columbia, SC and Philip Carter (Doris) of Nashville, TN.; her grandchildren, Adam Hopkins (Tonya), Sena Shirley (Brandon), Josh Rogers, Gavin Martin, Zeke Moore, Mali Hardy (Jared), Evan Martin and Adam Carter (Melissa); her great grandchildren, Caroline, Jameson Hopkins, Jenna Morris, Ashlyn Shirley, Luke Rogers, Cindel, Ezra Hardy and Liam Carter; and her aunt Helen Smith Luce.
