With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lila Mae Porter Smith of Salem, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 2, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel T. Porter and Bertha Lee Moss Porter; and her sister Mary Towe. She is survived by: her spouse Conway Smith of Salem; her children, Roger Smith (Cindy), Brenda Heaton (Tony), Sharon Smith and Julie Bright (Tony); and her siblings, Edward Porter, Paul Porter, Rachel Conrad and Elaine White. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prisma Health Hospice of the Foothills, Cottingham House, attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Dr, Seneca, SC 29672.
