She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph G. McCoy and Elsie Brooks McCoy; her former husband David Walker Owen; her grandsons, Jeremy Littleton and Christopher Hampton; and her sons-in-law, Jerry Parkison, Doug Hampton and Darrell Rice.

She is survived by: her daughters, Joyce Hampton of Balsam Grove, NC, Jan Rainey (Kenny) of Albuquerque, NM, Rosemary Littleton (Mike) of Salem, SC and Gayle Rice of Salem, SC; and her sister Carolyn Eubanks of Brevard, NC. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
