It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Doreen Potter Michael of Salem, South Carolina, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas Potter and Ellse Lewis Potter; and her siblings, Ralph Smith, Carlos Potter, Kathleen Little and Beryl Parkinson.

She is survived by: her husband Robert John Michael of Salem; and her children, Darren Michael of Bethel, AK, Carl Michael of Anchorage, AK, Jodie D. Michael of Salem, SC, Gale C. Norris of Tamassee, SC and Lynne New of West Union, SC. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
