She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemuel Elmer Pitts and Kate Elizabeth Cole Pitts. She is survived by: her children, Glenda F. Courtney (Ron), Jacqueline F. Lambert (Larry), Phillip D. Fortson (Janene) and Larry D. Fortson (Joanna). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
