Edward Joseph Nichols Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward Joseph Nichols (Salem, South Carolina), born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on May 25, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Maner Nichols and Julia Nichols; his wife Joyce; his children, Barbara Garrison (Steve) of North Aurora, Illinois, Kathleen Costabile (Lino) of Geneva, Illinois, Christopher Nichols (Meadow) of Colorado Springs and Julia Gleitsman (James) of Naperville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Kayla Garrison, Samuel Costabile, Auria Saxton, Selina Costabile, Jessica Gleitsman and Gavin Gleitsman; his stepchildren, Mark Rode (Mary Jo) of Winthrop Harbor, Greg Rode (Cindy) of Winthrop Harbor and Chris Rode (Jorry) of Kenosha, Wisconsin.; his stepgrandchildren, Emily Barnes (Jon), Samantha Pugh (Ralph), Alex Rode (Laurel), Spencer Rode, Kevin, Chris Schwinn and Brennen Heinrich; and his siblings, Gail Pope (James) of Flint and Rodney Nichols (Barbara) of Findlay. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to Covid-19 social distancing guidelines, a memorial will be held at a later date.
