It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doyle Carnez Collins of Salem, South Carolina, who passed away on December 12, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Otto and Elsie Irene Brooks Collins; his son Terry Lee Collins; and his siblings, Furman Collins, Harold Colins, J. D. Collins, Edith Cartee and Velma Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Oakley Collins; and his daughters, Teresa Jenkins of Greer, SC, Peggy Sue White of Salem, SC, Sherie Jennings (Wade) of Seneca, SC and Tina Bolt Sulivan (Chuck) of Salem, SC. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 5 great- great- grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at the Heritage Memorial Gardens (4500 SC-11, Westminster, SC 29693).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Doyle's honor to the Oconee County Humane Society, P.O. Box 966 West Union, SC.
