He was predeceased by: his father James Sims; and his grandparents, Lawrence, Sadie Sims, Leeman and Carrie Woodard.
He is survived by: his mother Patricia Woodard Sims; his wife Deanna "Dee" Sims; his children, Katelyn Smith (Nathan) of Murfreesboro, TN, Savannah Sims (Zack) of Walhalla, SC, Austin Hamby of Salem, SC and Dallas Hamby of Westminster, SC; his grandchildren, Nathaniel and Jacklyn; and his brothers, James Sims (Erline) of Salem, SC, Tony Sims of Salem, SC and Jason Sims (Sarah) of Seneca. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and seven beautiful great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations for the services.
