It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Brassell (Saint Stephen, South Carolina), born in Kingstree, South Carolina, who passed away on July 4, 2018, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughters, Rosalee Medlin Cheung and Lillian Teresa "Terry" Jernigan; and her siblings, Dolly Tumbleston, Hazel Weatherford, Barney Brassell and Dewey Brassell.
She is survived by: her parents, Jessie Brassell and Lillian "Bea" Mitchum Brassell; her son Joseph Medlin (Justine) of Sinton, TX; her sisters, Mildred Craven of Ladson, Nell Millett of Port St and Beatrice Ard of Greeleyville; and her grandchildren, Chris Jernigan, Crystal Cheung, Scott Jernigan, Anthony Cheung, Rachel Medlin, Joseph Medlin and Dusty Medlin.
