He was predeceased by: his parents, Asbury James Walker and Marie Alice Eadie Walker; and his sister Thelma Janey Smoak. He is survived by: his children, Robin Walker of St. Stephen and Russell Walker (Joy) of Lenoir, NC; his brothers, Randy and Terry Walker; and his grandchildren, Amberly, Lexie, Miah, Zach, Cole and Lucas. He is also survived by several cousins and other extended family.
