He was predeceased by: his former wife Luegenia Delores Gadsden; his daughters, Lisa Gadsden Morgan and Marcia Gadsden Williams; his granddaughter Tisa Shawntrice Morgan; and his sisters, Mamie Gadsden, Lela Gadsden Murray and Annie Bernice Gadsden.
He is survived by: his wife Eunice Gadsden; his daughters, Cherryl Lanita Jones and Renita Jenkins (Kevin); his grandchildren, Tracie Lanita Jones, Peyton Jenkins and Quincy Jenkins; his great grandchildren, Massiah Isaiah Holland, Essence Jai Holland, Devin Rashad Rustin II and Dylan Ryan Rustin; his siblings, John Gadsden, Mary Gadsden Murray, Ruth Gadsden and Mattie Mae Lewis; his stepchildren, Jimmy Jenkins (Bridget), Rufus Milligan (Juaneca), Joanne Puifory (Reginald), Bruce Milligan (Patricia), Felicia Jones and Benjamin Jones; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Spann, Leander Spann, Annie Mae Wilson, Francine Spann and Vertilue McKoy. He is also survived by numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives, and friends.
