With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol E. Shumpert (Saint Stephen, South Carolina), born in Lima, Ohio, who passed away on June 25, 2019 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Roy C. Hunt and Rose Rita Hillyard Hunt; her husband Glenn M. Shumpert; her children, Stacy Verburg (Jimmy) of Bonneau Beach, Mathew Nickolson (Yuonne) of Johnsonville and Aaron Nickolson (Pam) of Elida, OH; her siblings, Chris Gonzalez of Bay City, TX, Barb Watkins of Lima, OH, Shirley Nickolson of Lima, OH and David "Caboose" Hunt of Lima, OH; and her grandchildren, Cassey Verburg, Zach Harris, Autumn Nickolson, Jenna Harris, Jessica Verburg, Samantha Nickolson, Hannah Verburg and Alex Verburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Roper St. Francis Cancer Care Center, 2085 Henry Tecklinburg Drive, Suite 2, Charleston, SC 29414.
