She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry McElveen and Bertie Lucille Thornhill McElveen; her son J. Lewis Grimsley, Jr.; her siblings, Reba McElveen, Clara M. Williamson, Rembert L. McElveen and Willie D. McElveen; and her spouse Jessie L. Grimsley.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Grimsley (Jerry) of St. Stephen and Faye Williamson of Cross; her siblings, Kathy Schurlknight of St. Stephen and Ronald E. McElveen (Valerie) of St. Stephen; her grandchildren, Anita G. Myers (Ky), Marsha G. Lee (Jeremy), Shelly B. Burnette (Brooks), Vicky L. Grimsley, Jessica Jurs, Adam Jurs and Phillip Jurs; and her great grandchildren, Macy Myers, Lily Myers, Fisher Lee, Finley Lee, Presley Burnette, Titas Lee, Hayden Lee and Jackson Lee.
