He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorsey Monroe Collins and Rosa Sellers Collins; and his siblings, Zelma Ellerbe, Edith Hardage, Dorsey Maloy Collins, Marvin Kenneth Collins and Delton Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Edwards Collins; his daughter Linda C. Welch (Bobby) of Ridgeville; his stepdaughter Valerie McElveen (Ronnie) of St. Stephen; and his siblings, Annise Harwell of Mississippi and Oran Donzelle Collins of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
