It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Tommie Jones of Saint Matthews, South Carolina, born in Swansea, South Carolina, who passed away on April 8, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar S. Chaplin and Ada Mae Funderburk Chaplin; and her husband James "Jimmy" G. Jones. She is survived by: her daughters, Charlene J. Anderson (James) and Sherrie J. Rucker (Tony); her stepgrandchildren, John, Michael Anderson, Wendy and Josh McDaniel; and her grandchildren, Krios and Jake.
