He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Mathis Chandler, Sr. and Annie Lou Simpson Chandler; his wife Virginia Althea McCants Chandler; his siblings, Harry Mathis Chandler, Jr., Joe David Chandler, Dorothy Chandler Duda and Frances Chandler Prescott; and his brother-in-law Marion "Mac" McCants.
He is survived by: his sister Carol Chandler Robertson; and his close friend Lula Wannamaker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
