It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mounty Blanton of Saint Matthews, South Carolina, born in Jackson, North Carolina, who passed away on June 8, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Franklin Blanton and Hazel Genella Vance Blanton. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Blevins Blanton; his children, Janice Zeigler (John) of Sumter, SC, Laura Smith (Dave) of South Congaree, SC., Shannon Blanton (Tobias Wolf) of St. Matthews, SC. and David Blanton (Lisa); his sister Barbara Pangle; and his granddaughter Haley Craven. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren.
