It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hugh Abbott Rucker of Saint Matthews, South Carolina, born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, who passed away on December 2, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert Rucker and Margaret Annye Justice Rucker. He is survived by: his spouse Leslie Doughty Rucker; his sons, Trae King of Myrtle Beach, Bailey King of Myrtle Beach and Griffin King of Georgia; his siblings, Phillip Rucker (Debbie) of St. Matthews, Elaine Hendrix of St. Matthews, Jonnette Powell (Wes) of St. Matthews and Anna Utter of Maryland; and his grandsons, River and Maverick King. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 until 4:00 p. m., at the Funeral Home. CDC guidelines for the Covid-19 virus and social distancing will be observed during the service and the visitation. All attendees will be required to wear a mask.
