It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Donald Vernon Jr. of Saint Matthews, South Carolina, born in Sulphur, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 28, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Donald Vernon, Sr. and Willie Lee Thornhill Vernon; his former wife Frances Lois Williams Vernon; his wife Annie Marene Ott Vernon; and his son Bruce Lee Vernon.
He is survived by: his children, Doug Vernon (Mora), Donal Dwayne Vernon (Karen) and Lynn V. Herlong (Gregg). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
CDC guidelines for the COVID-19 virus and social distancing will be observed during the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to West Bethel United Methodist Church, 3649 Old State Road, St. Matthews, SC 29135.
